Stylish New Yorkers Wedding in Paris on the 4th of July!
Krissy and Josh threw themselves an amazing and what looked like, effortless wedding in Paris. They originally were going to elope in Paris, but when friends and family heard of their plans… their elopement plans quickly changed into an intimate wedding and tickets for the flight from New York to Paris became a hot commodity. Krissy took charge of the wedding planning and booked the central gardens space at the Westin Paris Vendome for the couples intimate Non denominational ceremony, which included a short customary Jewish element near the end, performed by Josh’s sister. I love creating unique wedding ceremonies for my clients, many of whom come from mixed cultural backgrounds and from varying countries of the world. It’s always beautiful to see how we can, together with the bride and groom, create a unique romantic modern ceremony text which includes everyones beliefs, cultural values and often, family members. Guest participation in my Declaration of Love wedding ceremonies is always something that I push for in intimate weddings, as it’s always so much more meaningful when granny Sue or Aunt Mabel gets up on your wedding day and reads a touching love poem from your families culture or religious beliefs. Krissy asked me to incorporate a a part of Josh’s Jewish culture into the ceremony and I suggested that a family member, of the faith, would be much more authentic in delivering something so personal. Josh’s big sister did a great job and I loved the emotion with which she delivered the the lines!
Krissy and Josh made every element of their Parisian wedding day unique. Touches of classic Parisian elements were necessary, i.e. macaroons, those romantic Eiffel Tower shots, and of course a stroll down the Parisian streets with family and friends in tow on their way to their intimate wedding reception at Verjus, which by the way was perfectly styled by the bride herself, after all she is a leading merchandiser for BHLDN!
Loved every moment of this day with this cute couple and here are a few sneak peaks of the day. Of course I was very fond of all the shoe shots, loved the suede Pink Louboutins (who wouldn’t ?!?!?!??!) and of course the brides bouquet which I loved making based on Krissy’s wishes for something soft and feminine and not too big, but still unstructured. I think this style of bouquet perfectly complimented Krissy’s customised Junko Yoshioka wedding dress, don’t you?
Congrats to the stylish couple and enjoy my curated selection below of my favourite shots from the day, to see the full story head to Style Me Pretty or The Smashing the Dress Wedding Blog!
