Elopements are for the romantic and brave! Sharing your vows under the Carrousel Arc de Triomphe with the Louvre watching over you must be up there as one of the most romantic spots in Paris!
Patrick and Alex share their story about this very special day:
“Alex and I met and started dating seven years ago while working at the same restaurant in California. I proposed to her last year and the wedding planning began!
After a few months of meeting with vendors and getting a glimpse of what a big wedding entailed: the money, the stress, and everything that comes with it, we decided to reevaluate.
We felt like we were planning our day around everyone else and not for us. One night we were throwing around ideas and finally landed on one: We should elope and spend our wedding budget on an amazing and unforgettable three week honeymoon instead!
When deciding where to elope and say our vows, Paris was an easy choice. Neither of us had been and it’s one of the most romantic places in the world!
Paris totally exceeded our expectations and so did Brian from French Grey Photography. He was awesome!
He recommended a couple locations to shoot, but was completely flexible if we had other ideas in mind. I don’t necessarily love taking photos for hours, but he made it stress free and made us feel relaxed (and even fought off a couple bees that loved our flowers).
We took some photos near the Eiffel Tower and ended up saying our vows outside the Louvre under the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel with nobody around. He captured the intimate moment perfectly and still gave us complete privacy.
We will never forget that day, but we are so glad we have these amazing photos that will always bring us back to the moment.
